Netball Penang Trip 2010.

Day 1.
Daddy sent me to school at 6.50am when I was supposed to reach school by 6.45am.

Anyway, it's okay because I wasn't late. Hehe.

Collected my new blue netball tee from Miss Rahimah and I went to change into it.
Set off to Tuas check point by a coach once everybody arrived in school.

Scanned our passports and thumb print and off we headed to the Malaysia custom check point.
Got our passports stamped and then we changed to another coach.

Headed to have our breakfast at a nearby coffee shop then we continued our journey.

Sat for around 4 hours in the coach then we finally reached Sunway Pyramid.
The Christmas decorations inside Sunway Pyramid is pretty.

It's a shopping mall which looks like a pyramid from the outside and inside.

Its sad to say that I didn't manage to take a picture of Sunway Pyramid from the outside.

We had our lunch at Hartz Chicken Buffet.

There were coke and vanilla ice-cream therefore Maisarah and I decided to make our own coke float.

However, root beer float still taste better than coke float. H3h3.

The food there were not bad.

After we were done eating, Carissa, Wen Yu and I went to shop around Sunway Pyramid for about 15 minutes.

Each of us bought a cute pen. Lol.

When we left Sunway Pyramid, it was raining heavily.

While walking halfway under the rain with am umbrella to the coach to continue our journey to Penang, my sandals broke and I kept slipping from it.

Thus, I have to walk slowly to prevent myself from falling.

Reached the coach and immediately changed into my slippers. LOL.

We then continued our journey to Penang for around 4 hours.

Stopped at a Seafood restaurant at Penang.

Had our dinner there and off we headed to Hotel Royal Penang to check in.

Wen Yu and I stayed together in a room and guess what?

Our room was creepy, seriously.

When we open the door, there were newspapers all scattered all over the doorway inside our hotel room.

We were shocked and when we insert the card for the electricity, the television suddenly turned on by itself.

There was also a connecting door inside our room and then it's loosely locked which gives us the creeps that it might be opened anytime.

We then headed to Carissa and Fatin's hotel room immediately.

Wen Yu and my hotel room is the same as theirs however there's a connecting door to the another room at the side of the bed, near the window.

Slacked there until Miss Rahimah called to ask them where were we and found out that we were in their room and we were scared.

She made a trip down to their room and brought us back to our room.

She called the housekeeping person to clear the mess and called down the hotel manager and asked for a change of room for us.

Luckily, they allowed us to change our room and there was an available room.

We got a king-sized bedroom on the same level as Sarah and Miss Koh, our coach.

We then moved in to our new hotel room, feeling relieved.

I went to bathe after packing and moving our things inside our new hotel room.

Wen Yu have already bathed in Fatin and Carissa's room when Miss Rahimah went to look for us.

After we were done bathing and preparing our things for the next day, we watched the television for a while and went to sleep.

We were extremely tired and exhausted because the journey on a coach form Singapore to Penang was damn long for about more than 8 hours.

I only managed to catch 1-2hours of sleep in the coach and spent the rest of the time watching the movies that were played in the coach because there were 2 televisions on it.

The movies played are Eragon, Norbit and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. LOL.

Day 2.

Morning call was supposed to be at 7am but since we changed our room, they didn't record it down.

In the end, they didn't morning call our room.

We woke up at 7.49am and realised that we were late.

We immediately jumped out of our bed and went to shower and prepare to go out of the hotel room.

We were thinking that they probably forgotten us but luckily, Carissa and Fatin came to find us in our room and told us that everybody were waiting for us.

We quickly prepared and headed down to the ground floor to have our breakfast.

We told Miss Rahimah that nobody morning call us and she explained what had happened.

Had our breakfast in a rush and then of us set off to a sports complex to have our training.

Training was okay but pretty tiring because it has been about a month since I've last attended my netball training.

Had netball matches between our own team players including Miss Rahimah, Mr Yao, Miss Soh, Sarah and Ruth (a senior netball player).

My team got 2nd among all the 4 teams.

After training, we had our lunch at some restaurant and off we headed for our Nature Trekking Expediture at Telok Bahang Recreational forest.

The trekking experience is omgwtf. -.-

There's lots of mosquitoes, huge fire ants, spiders and even poisonous ants.

I really couldn't stand the whole 2 hours of trekking in such a place.

After trekking, we finally went to Batu Ferringgi Beach to relax ourselves.

There were 2 females stuck at the tree while they were parachuting.

They wanted to land on the sand but ended up landing on a huge tree and getting stuck there.

Many people were taking pictures of them and helping them to get off the tree by pulling the string linking to the parachute.

There were lots of water and other activities that you can take part in at the beach.

However, you need to pay if you want to try the activities there.

There's also horse riding there. It was pretty cool but it's not the first time that I've seen a horse.

I've seen a few horses at Malacca during my Primary 6 trip to Malacca.

Carissa, Wen Yu, Nurin and I went to the nearest washroom that we can find to change our bottoms because we wore trackpants for trekking so we decided to change back into our FBT shorts.

The toilet there was horrible. It stinks and there's no loo at all.

The toilet condition was freaking bad and yet you have to paid 50cents RM in order to use it. -.-

After that, we headed to the coffee shop for our dinner.

Had Western food for our dinner.

It was either chicken chop or fish and chips or coca-cola, orange juice or apple juice.

The food tasted pretty okay.

The chicken chop was rather unique too.

It's not grilled or barbecued but it's fried like the fish and chips.

We were supposed to go to Batu Ferringgi Night Market but it was raining heavily thus, we couldn't shop at the night market.

We had a change of plans then.

We headed back to the hotel to wash up and etc.

After that, we met at the lobby of the hotel and off we headed to the shopping mall beside our hotel.

Most of the shops were closed and the only shops opened were Guardian, Giant and a bookstore.

Maisarah, Nurin, Carissa, Wen Yu and I then decided to have a party in Maisarah and Nurin's room.

We bought snacks, milk and maggie mee to eat.

Headed back to the hotel then.

Went to change into our sleepwear and then we headed to Maisarah and Nurin's room to party.

Watched the television, ate some snacks and played truth or dare.

Had lots of fun with them and there were multiple jokes cracked which made all of us laughed out loud.

After that, all of them came to visit Wen Yu and my hotel room.

We slacked there for a while and then off they headed back to their own hotel room to rest.

Wen Yu and I also brushed our teeth, watched the television for a while and off we went to sleep too.

Day 3.

Morning call at 8am so both of us woke up at 8am.

Went to the hotel lobby to have our breakfast after we were done with preparing our stuffs.

Off we headed to visit the chocolate shop.

It's pretty cool because the shop was filled with lots of different kinds of chocolates.

Bought quite a lot of chocolates there.

The chocolates were super yummy. H3h3.

After that, we went to the White Coffee shop and I bought cafe latte.

I think it was quite delicious even though I don't really drink coffee.

After that, we went to see the Batik painting.

Those clothings there were usually hand-drawn and they are pretty.

After looking at some of the Batik painting, we headed to a shop where they sell traditional spices and etc.

I bought Tau Sar Pneah there because I know Mummy like to eat it.

I also bought Sea Bird Nest herbs for Mummy to brew for us to drink.

After that, we headed to visit the Toy Museum.

I took lots of pictures there and the place was cool because it was filled with lots of different kinds of toys displayed in the Toy Museum.

We then headed to Gurney Plaza Mall for our lunch.

We were given 10RM each to buy our own lunch and after we've had our lunch, we are allowed to shop around.

Had lunch at A&W with Maisarah, Wen Yu, Carissa and Nurin.

After that, we went to shop around.

I didn't buy anything because nothing caught my eyes there.

After that, we headed to the Sports Complex.

We're supposed to have a friendly match with one of the Secondary school there in Penang.

However, sadly, Miss Rahimah couldn't get any school to have a friendly match with us because they're still having school and stuff like that therefore, we had a friendly match with USM staff instead.

Their age were around 20+ to 30+.

We warmed up and etc then the friendly match started.

It was a pretty tough match, I'd say but Westwood managed to beat them with a score of 30+ to 20+.

We're all proud of them. Good job, girls!

After the friendly match ended, Miss Koh, Sarah and Ruth had to head back to Singapore thus they left.

We then had our dinner at Seafood restaurant.
After we had our dinner, we went to the nearby local Penang food street.

Maisarah bought satay and brought it back to the hotel room so that we can eat it while we party in her hotel room.

While waiting for the satay to be cooked, it started raining.

The umbrella given to us to use was useless because it was spoilt thus we decided to run under the rain.

We then headed back to our own hotel room.

Bathed, changed, prepared and etc then we headed to Maisarah and Nurin's hotel room.

Partied there with Carissa, Maisarah, Nurin and Wen Yu.

Watched the television together, played with the balloons and camwhored a lot.

When all of us got tired, we headed back to our own hotel room and went to sleep.

However, when we reached our own hotel room, Nurin called up our room and said that Wen Yu left her jacket there.

In the end, we went up to their hotel room and take back the jacket then we headed back to our own room to sleep.

Day 4.
Morning call at 6.30am but I woke up at 7am.

Bathed, changed, prepared and etc.

Headed down to the hotel lobby for our breakfast then.

We then went to look at how the Poh Piak Skin are made but the owner doesn't want to show us how it was made.

While walking to see how the Coconut Tarts are made, we saw a tall building being covered by the clouds. LOL.

It seems pretty cool. H3h3.

In the end, we headed to look at how the Coconut Tarts are made.

Ordered some Coconut Tarts to bring back for Mummy and Daddy to taste it.

Jia Min went to the Goddess of Mercy temple to "fang shen".

She freed a bird which sort of means like, free for freedom, I think?

After that, we went to look at some fortune telling thingy.

Kei Lin, Yu Ling and Emmileen (tour guide) went to have their fortune told.
We then went to visit another Batik painting factory.

After that, we went to the hotel.

Bathed, prepared, packed up our things and then we checked out of the hotel.
We then went to have our lunch at either the food centre or KFC.

Carissa, Wen Yu, Nurin, Maisarah and I decided to have our lunch at KFC.

The food at KFC was damn small and little. Wtf.
After that, we then headed to Queens Bay Shopping Mall.

It's a huge shopping mall and we were allowed to shop around for about 3 hours.

3 hours is not enough to shop every part of Queens Bay Shopping Mall.

It has a central zone, north zone and even south zone. Wow.

After we were done shopping, we met up at a Thai Seafood restaurant, "Golden Triangle".

It was quite a cool restaurant.

We sort of had the whole restaurant to ourselves and they even blast music for us while we were eating.

After that, we headed to the Penang International Airport.

Went through all the necessary stuffs then we checked in.

Miss Rahimah had a talk with most of the netballers who were involved in some prank call incident.

Luckily, Maisarah, Nuring, Carissa, Wen Yu, Balqis, Shi Yi, Hui Xuan, Shu Jun and I were not involved in it so we stood aside.

After the talk with Miss Rahimah was over, the netballers cried but we've no idea what was going on.

Suddenly, even Shi Yu, Hui Xuan and Shu Jun who were not involved started crying too.

This made us all felt like crying but we endure. Hehe.

Waited for our flight back to Singapore and then we boarded it.

I dislike taking the aeroplane because my ears really hurt a lot due to the air pressure. *sighs*

Once we reached Changi Airport, some of the netballers parents fetched their child there while the rest of us took the school bus back to our school.

Daddy and Mummy then went to school to fetch me.

Home sweet home finally aftermath. :)

Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable trip to Penang with Westwood netballers! ^^v
